As we told you in the first post of this blog, our collection started in New York. It was 2009 and we were visiting the Soho neighborhood. In the middle of those beautiful boutiques and art galleries, we found a lovely vintage bookshop where we spent a lot of time during that afternoon. At the entrance of the bookshop they were giving free condoms to spread the message that safe sex is important. We really appreciate their initiative and we found so interesting the idea of a customized condom inspired by New York! Of course, we kept it as a souvenir.
Come abbiamo spiegato nel primo post del blog, la nostra collezione è iniziata a New York. Era il 2009 e stavamo visitando il quartiere di Soho. Nel bel mezzo di quelle bellissime boutique e gallerie d'arte, abbiamo trovato una libreria vintage molto carina dove abbiamo passato gran parte del pomeriggio. All'entrata della libreria, i dipendenti regalavano preservativi gratuiti per divulgare il messaggio che il sesso sicuro è importante. Abbiamo apprezzato molto la loro iniziativa e abbiamo trovato molto interessante l'idea di preservativi personalizzati ispirati a New York! Ovviamente, l'abbiamo tenuto come souvenir.

We have another anecdote from New York: in the middle of Times Square, we saw a man that was selling condoms dedicated to Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and John McCain. That man was hilarious in attracting everyone's attention shouting out loud: "Obama condoms, cheaper than pregnancy!", "It's the election, erection for your protection" and also: "It's the ultimate stimulus package for hard times."
We discovered years later that his name is Jose Andujar and he had troubles with justice several times for unlicensed peddling!
Abbiamo un altro aneddoto riguardante New York: nel bel mezzo di Times Square, abbiamo visto un uomo vendere preservativi dedicati a Barack Obama, Sarah Palin e John McCain. Quell'uomo era davvero divertente nell'attirare l'attenzione di tutti urlando forte: "Preservativi di Obama, sono meno costosi di una gravidanza!", "" e ancora: "E' il miglior rimedio stimolante contro questi tempi duri".
Abbiamo scoperto anni dopo che il nome di quell'uomo è Jose Andujar e che ha avuto problemi con la giustizia più di una volta, per aver venduto i preservativi senza licenza!
